2024 Pioneer Jamboree at Stagecoach Inn Newbury Park on Saturday, June 8th

The Stagecoach Inn Museum hosts its Annual Pioneer Jamboree from 10 am to 4 pm, Saturday, June 8, 2024, on the museum’s grounds at 51 S. Ventu Park Road, Newbury Park.

Bring the whole family to pan for gold, lasso like a cowgirl or cowboy, see a blacksmith fire-up the forge, and play pioneer games. Wear your western costumes (optional) and join the fun!

Activities include storytelling; cursive writing; fossil digging; rock painting; giant bubble making, and more! You can even try your hand at using a washboard… for laundry or for making music!

There are two parking locations- one next to the Museum on Ventu Park Road and one behind the Museum on Susan Drive.

General admission is $10. Children age 5 to 12 are $5 and under 5 are free. Conejo Valley Historical Society Members are free. Annual CVHS Family Memberships can be purchased online or at the door for as little as $50.

Spring “Conejo & Easter” Hunt & Festival: March 30th, from 1-4PM.

NOTE: STAGECOACH INN HAS INDICATED THIS EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE, RAIN OR NO RAIN.

Hop on over to the Stagecoach Inn Museum and bring the kids and grandchildren to hunt for “conejos”, while the whole family enjoys exploring historic structures and interacting with costumed docents. A map is included with admission for marking bunny sightings to be turned in for a prize in this frolicking outdoor hunt around the beautiful museum grounds.

Our Conejo Hunt this year will send “kids” of all ages hunting for several numbered metal art “Conejos” made by our blacksmith Bobby Mensinger and there will be new baby animals to look for this Spring to add to the fun... ducklings, chicks, and of course baby bunnies.

Have your picture taken with our resident Easter Bunny and we’ll have crafts and “bunny” sack races and frolicking about to the sweet sounds of a local live band.

Free Photos with Santa, Toy Drive and Winter Wonderland at Hollywood Storage Center of Thousand Oaks December 9, 10, 16 and 17

Hollywood Storage Center of Thousand Oaks Hosts Toy Drive & Winter Wonderland Event

Bring along your loved ones and meet Santa Claus at the Hollywood Storage Center of Thousand Oaks during their yearly toy drive and Winter Wonderland celebration on December 9, 10, 16, and 17. Join in all the festive fun from 10 am to 4 pm each day.

After taking a free photo with Santa, stick around for Christmas-themed coloring and games. Then, experience the magic as Hollywood Storage Center morphs into a Winter Wonderland! Santa's weather elves predict intermittent snowfall throughout each day of the event.

New, unwrapped toys will be gathered and donated to Play Conejo, the charitable division of the Conejo Recreation & Park District, which will then be distributed directly to low-income children in our neighborhood. While donations are appreciated, they are not a requirement for participation in the photo sessions and activities. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community while having some holiday fun.

The Boney Mountain Trail Half Marathon and 7K is planned for Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Point Mugu State Park, starting at Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa in Newbury Park. Challenging, single track, switchback climbs and descents, creek crossings and climb up the Old Boney trail.

The Christ the King Pumpkins Patch is back in 2023, with pumpkins for sale from October 13 to 31 and one day FREE Pumpkin Festival and Escape Maze event on October 28, 2023

Open: October 13 to October 31 Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 7 pm, Saturdays from 10 am to 7 pm and Sundays from 12 pm to 7 pm. October 31 from 9 am to 4 pm.

FREE EVENT! On Saturday, October 28, 2023 Pumpkin Fest will take place from 2-6pm, including free food, games, prizes, crafts, inflatables and more; Bring your family for a fun filled afternoon.

Also on October 28th…Final Rest, an Escape Maze. Children's hours 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Scare Hours 7pm to 9:30pm. Volunteers and event donations are accepted.

Festival de los Muertos Event at Borchard Community Center in Newbury Park on Saturday, November 4, 2023

Conejo Recreation & Park District (CRPD) announces its inaugural Festival de los Muertos event, a vibrant celebration of the cherished Mexican tradition, taking place on November 4th from 4:00-8:00pm at Borchard Community Park, located at 190 N. Reino Rd, Newbury Park.

This exciting event promises an authentic and immersive experience that pays homage to the rich culture and traditions of Day of the Dead.
