FootGolf at Lake Lindero Country Club in Agoura Hills

My wife surprised the family with a round of FootGolf at the Lake Lindero Country Club at 5719 Lake Lindero Drive in Agoura Hills and we had a blast!

FootGolf is the same as golf, except you kick a regulation #5 soccer ball rather than knock a golf ball into the hole. The hole in the case of FootGolf is a 21 inch cup and the holes are not quite as far as the regular golf holes.

Yes, FootGolf is an official sport internationally and domestically, with the American FootGolf League as the governing body in the United States. As of November 2015 there are 445 FootGolf courses in 49 states, including local courses here at Lake Lindero CC, River Ridge Country Club in Oxnard, Elkins Ranch Golf Course in Fillmore and I believe, Saticoy Regional Golf Course in Ventura.

This nine hole FootGolf course is 970 yards and 30 par in total. The course was launched in August 2014. The first six holes are north of the Lake Lindero Country Club. The final three holes are south of Thousand Oaks Boulevard and thus you must cross the street. A little funky but it didn't damper the fun.

We played and it was fun. None of us are particularly good soccer players and kickers. The biggest challenge was keeping the ball on the course, away from the creek and lakes on the course.

As of February, pricing is $10 for 18 and over, $7 for under 17 and ball rental is $5 (if you don't have your own soccer ball).
