Skyhawks Sports Academy provides sports programs where children discover and develop athletic skills and life lessons, such as teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Skyhawks offers children ages 18 months to 12 years a positive sports experience while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. Each of their classes and camps focus on skills, safety, and fun.

Progression of classes, led by expert staff, is geared towards youth looking for a sports introduction or those who want to refine their skills.

101 Jaguars Youth Football and Cheer

The 101 Jaguars Youth Football and Cheer and its predecessor organizations have served the families of players and cheerleaders in the greater Conejo Valley and 101 corridor since 2011.

Registration for football and cheer takes place in the spring each year. Divisions are as follows:

  • Mighty Mite: Ages 6 to 8

  • Bantam: Ages 8 to 10

  • Freshman: Ages 9 to 11

  • Sophomore: Ages 10 to 12

  • Junior: Ages 11 to 13

  • Senior: Ages 12 to 14

Cheer participation is for girls ages 6 to 14, focusing on cheers and dances performed on the sideline and midfield at halftime during 101 Jaguars football games.

The Pacific Youth Football League was established in 1993 to serve youth football players between the ages of 6 and 14 in Ventura, Santa Barbara and Northern Los Angeles Counties. The Camarillo Cougars program is dedicated to giving players and cheerleaders professional instruction in areas such as fundamentals, skill training, tactical decision making and position play. Along with learning the game of football and the art of cheerleading, participants learn the meaning of camaraderie, team play, sportsmanship and spirit. Training is a combination of individual and game-related instruction in addition to encouraging honor, integrity, confidence and creativity in performing the learned skills. Students are also taught how to thrive under the pressure of game situations.

Conejo Youth Flag Football Association

Since 1970, the Conejo Youth Flag Football Association has been committed to coaching all participants in the fundamentals of competitive football in a safe, instructional and positive environment.

For kids ages 6 to 17. Scrim division for ages 6 to 7, Bantam division for 8  to 9 1/2, Junior division for 9 1/2 to 10, Senior division for 11 to 13 and recently formed teenage passing division for ages 14 to 17.  Signups in April.

All games played at Redwood Middle School in Thousand Oaks.

The Newbury Park Basketball Association has divisions based on grade as of September 1 of the year. The club is open to any youth living in the Newbury Park area.

Divisions include:

  • Beginner boys and girls - grades 1-2

  • Gremlin boys - grade 3 and grade 4

  • Gremlin girls - grades 3 to 5

  • Intermediate boys - grades 5-6

  • Intermediate girls - grades 5-7
