Camarillo Old Town Heritage Days Midsummer Block Party takes place July 10 through 14, 2024. Free admission. There will be carnival rides, food trucks, live music, local craft vendors, live music, live art, beer and wine zone, car show (Saturday) and much more. Hours are 4-9PM Wed/Thu, 4-10PM Fri, 10am-10pm Sat and 10am-8pm Sun.

2024 Ventura County Greek Festival in Camarillo June 28, 29 and 30

The 45th Ventura County Greek Festival will take place June 28, 29 and 30 back, after 10 years offsite, at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Camarillo.

The event features live Greek music, folk dancing, food, delicious pastries and baklava, vendors, petting zoo, and a kids' play area.

Festival times are 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is $6, which includes a raffle ticket. Free admission for kids 12 and under and active military, veterans and first responders with ID.

2024 Regal Theaters Summer Movie Express ($1 Movies) in Thousand Oaks, Camarillo and Simi Valley

Regal Theaters presents its Summer Movie Express 2024. Moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard to enjoy a great selection of films. During the summer, select Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres will offer selected G or PG rated movies for only $1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at designated time frames. Both movies play both days. Summer Movie Express 2024 runs June 11 to August 7.

Participating local theaters include Regal Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks, Edwards Camarillo Palace Stadium 12, 680 Ventura Boulevard, and Regal Simi Valley Civic Center Stadium 16 at 2751 Tapo Cyn Road.

Summer Palooza at Community Center Park in Camarillo June 21 and 22, 2024

Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District presents the 2nd Annual Summer Palooza at Community Center Park, 1605 E. Burnley Street, Camarillo on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd from 5pm to 8pm, followed by an outdoor movie at 8:30pm (Finding Nemo on Friday night and Finding Dory on Saturday night.)

37th Annual A Taste of Camarillo Wine, Brew and Food Festival on July 28, 2024

A Taste of Camarillo - Wine, Brew & Food Festival will take place on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at the Camarillo Ranch, 201 Camarillo Ranch Road, Camarillo, from noon to 4:30 pm.

This is perhaps the longest running wine, brew and food festival in Ventura County. Guests spend an afternoon sampling fine wines, craft beers and gourmet foods on the grounds of the historic Camarillo Ranch. Sample fine and wines and local restaurants, live music and dancing, boutique shopping and more. 21+ only event. No children or pets allowed.

2024 Holly Jolly Half Marathon, 5K and 10K in Camarillo on Sunday, December 15th

The 13th Annual Holly Jolly Half Marathon, 5K and 10K is planned for Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Pleasant Valley Soccer Fields, 150 Westpark Ct., Camarillo. Start / Finish will be at the Pleasant Valley Fields Park at the Village At The Park Sports Complex. This course is mostly on the flat Camarillo bike path. No auto traffic to worry about on this course.

2024 City of Camarillo 4th of July Fireworks at the Camarillo Premium Outlets

The City of Camarillo proudly presents the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Show hosted at the Camarillo Premium Outlet parking lots. This FREE community event is open to the public and provides a safe and fun filled evening to enjoy the fireworks display from the comfort of your vehicle. The show is set to promptly begin at 9:00 p.m.

Fireworks are best viewed from the Camarillo Premium Outlet parking lots and immediate surrounding areas. Tune in live to FM radio station 95.1 KBBY to listen to the fireworks soundtrack while you watch the show.

Please note the following:

  •     Plan to arrive early to park. Spaces are first-come, first-serve, and cannot be reserved.

  •     Road closures will go into effect at 8:45 p.m. with no vehicle entry access to the parking lots after that time.

  •     This is a smoke-free event, and no alcohol or illegal substances is permitted under any circumstance.

  •     For your safety and protection, please refrain from bringing large picnic setups.

2024 Camarillo Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K/5K on Sunday, August 4th

The Camarillo Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and 10K are planned for Sunday, August 4, 2024. The event, which will start/finish at the Pleasant Valley Fields, will run largely along the Camarillo Bike Path and nearby roads. The day also features a half marathon, 10K and 5K.

Public Tours at the Camarillo Bird Museum

The Western Foundation of Vertebrate Zoology (WFVZ) (aka Camarillo Bird Museum), a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable corporation, is both a natural history collection specializing in eggs and nests of birds from around the world, and a research and education institution dedicated to bird conservation. The Foundation's collections are the largest in the world, and its mission is to contribute to the conservation of the world’s wild bird species through the accessibility of the collections and their data to researchers, educators, students, and the public. 

The Museum both guided and unguided tours on Wednesdays and Fridays at noon and 2pm. A two hour guided tour for two is a $20 donation. A self-guided one hour tour is $7.

Living History Day at Community Center Park in Camarillo on Saturday, April 29th

The Pleasant Valley Historical Society and Museum will host Living History Day on Saturday April 29 from noon to 4:00 pm at Community Center Park on the corner of Carmen and Burnley Streets in Camarillo. There will be a variety of activities for children and adults. Here are just a few: Spinning and weaving demonstrations, wood working skills, sold-time music, early transportation and communication, historical photos and more.
