Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony event will take place near the old Mission San Buenaventura on Friday, Dec. 6 from 5pm-8pm. Live music starts at 5pm. Santa arrives at 6:55pm, followed by the tree lighting. Snowfall in downtown at 7:05pm! Free event open to the public. Presented by Downtown Ventura Partners, Mission Basilica San Buenaventura, and the City of Ventura.

2024 Ventura Winter Wine Walk & Holiday Street Fair on Saturday, December 7th

The Ventura Winter Wine Walk & Holiday Street Fair will take place in downtown Ventura on Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 12 pm-8 pm.

The day kicks off with the Holiday Street Fair starting at 12 pm from the Museum of Ventura County through the 600 block of Main Street with vendors and live entertainment. Shop artists, crafters, non-profit organizations, commercial and food vendors. The street fair and entertainment are free and open to the public!

At 4 pm, the Ventura Winter Wine Walk gets started! The wine walk will showcase world class wineries in your favorite downtown businesses. Each guest will receive a tasting cup and a map of the participating tasting sites in downtown Ventura. Each tasting site will have a designated area set up for Wine Walk guests to sample the amazing wines! Wine tasting will end at 7 pm.

Tree Lighting Celebration at The Promenade at Westlake on Friday, November 22, 2024

Join the Promenade at Westlake for their annual Tree Lighting ceremony and community celebration on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 4-8PM. Enjoy a whimsical holiday show featuring a variety of musical entertainment, the arrival of Santa and a fireworks finale. The show will be hosted by actor Neal McDonough.

Pre-show festivities include strolling entertainment, kids’ activities and a curated holiday market featuring a variety of treats from your favorite restaurants and retailers. 2024 Festival of the Trees, Ventura County in Simi Valley on November 21-23

Festival of the Trees, Ventura County is a community event that benefits cancer patients and their families with living expenses in Ventura County. View and bid on beautifully decorated trees and wreaths, shop handmade gifts in the Elf Emporium, and indulge on sweet treats in Frosty’s Sweet Shoppe.

The event takes place at the Simi Valley Town Center on Thursday, November 21 from 4-8pm and Saturday, November 23 from 10am-3pm. Tickets at the door are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 3 to 12, $4 for seniors, and free to ages 3 and under.

On Friday, November 22 from 5-8:30pm is Festival of the Trees Event Night, featuring visits with Santa and his wife, viewing and bidding on trees and wreaths, and more. $20 admission.

2024 Holidays at the Inn at the Stagecoach Inn Museum Newbury Park December 6, 7 & 8

Holidays at the Inn 2024 is planned at the Stagecoach Inn Museum December 6, 7 and 8. In 1954, Perry Como made “(Oh, There's No Place Like) Home for the Holidays” a hit. The Stagecoach Inn Museum adopts this theme. Volunteers and docents have roamed all over the world, “but you can’t beat home sweet home” Join in the holiday fun as they share their traditions and celebrations with our guests who come from all over the world! From menorah lighting to tree decorations to favorite family recipes to ugly holiday sweaters and much more, you will “pine for the sunshine of a friendly gaze.”

Dining Room Extravaganza: The Inn’s dining room will be adorned with 8 holiday table settings, each beautifully crafted by volunteers and docents. These settings will showcase a variety of holiday traditions from different time periods, offering a glimpse into the diverse ways our community celebrates.

The Inn’s three nighttime celebrations will be lit up and the daytime event brings activities. The Museum complex will boast of the sights and sounds of the holidays. Of course, don’t miss Santa and his reindeer!

2024 Annual Community Holiday Dinner in Thousand Oaks on December 25th

Local community members in need are invited to join Temple Adat Elohim in the congregation’s festively decorated social hall, located at 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks, for a delicious hot turkey meal with all the fixings. Guests will also enjoy listening to holiday music. Gifts will be available for children.

The Annual Community Holiday Dinner takes place on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at 2420 E. Hillcrest Dr., Thousand Oaks. Event is free and open to everyone - nonsectarian - all are welcome.

3rd Annual Holidays in the Village, A European Marketplace in Thousand Oaks on Saturday, December 7, 2024

The 3rd Annual Holidays in the Village, A European Marketplace, which celebrates the warmth and joy of the holiday season--all with a European flair, will take place Saturday, December 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The Oaks parking lot (W. Wilbur Rd. and W. Thousand Oaks Blvd.) in Thousand Oaks. Visitors can shop for unique holiday gifts from 60 vendors in a festive, family atmosphere. The Marketplace features traditional European foods and beverages including bratwurst, soft pretzels, Aebleskiver and other pastries, warm mulled wine, apple cider and hot cocoa. A Kris Kringle children's village with Kris Kringle himself includes face-painting, Art Trek specialty crafts, a holiday train and a teddy bear scavenger hunt sponsored by the Southeast Ventura County YMCA. Carolers and live music will entertain visitors throughout the day. Admission and parking are free. The Marketplace is hosted by the two Rotary Clubs of Westlake Village. Proceeds support local nonprofits.

Holiday Open House at Strathearn Historical Park in Simi Valley on Sunday, December 1, 2024

The Simi Valley Historical Society invites the community to a Holiday Open House from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 2, 2025 at Strathearn Historical Park and Museum, 137 Strathearn Place, behind the Madera Target store.

The event is free! The park will be decorated for the holidays with Santa available for pictures until 2 p.m. Activities include face painting, live holiday music, historical demonstrations, holiday shopping, vintage and antique cars on display, and more.

Historic buildings will be decorated with docents giving informal tours.
