Camarillo Police Department "Trunk or Treat" Event on Monday, October 28, 2024

The Camarillo Police Department announces its second annual Trunk or Treat event for Halloween at the Camarillo Police Station. This year’s event will be held on Monday, 10/28/2024, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Several community partners will adorn their cars in Halloween decorations and pass out candy to kids as they walk by. This is a free, family friendly event that is appropriate for all ages.

First responders will be present to hand out candy and stickers. There will be several police resources and vehicles on display including an armored vehicle, police car, police motorcycle, sheriff’s K9, sheriff’s off-road vehicle, an ambulance and a Ventura County Fire Engine.

Annual Camarillo YMCA Run For Holiday Fun 5K/10K on December 7, 2024

The Annual Camarillo YMCA Fun for Holiday Run 5K/10K, will take place in the Village at the Parks community in beautiful Camarillo at 8 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

The course takes you through a scenic walking path and is a friendly course for both novice and experienced runners. Be sure to sign up as soon as possible as this race is capped at 500 runners!

100% of all proceeds will go towards the Camarillo YMCA Open Doors Scholarship Fund that allows children, youth, families, and seniors to participate in the programs the YMCA so uniquely provides.

Howl-O-Ween Event at Mission Oaks Dog Park in Camarillo on Saturday, October 26, 2024

Bring your dog in their scariest, funniest, most original costume – or even do matching costumes with your dog, to Howl-O-Ween at Mission Oaks Park, 5501 Mission Oaks Boulevard, Camarillo (in the off leash area) on Saturday, October 26, 2024 from 10am to 1pm. Free admission. No registration necessary. Dog costume contest, pet vendors, raffles and food trucks will be on hand (or paw).

Dogs are to be kept on a leash with a leash length not exceeding 6 feet. Owners must follow dog park rules and regulations.

Mission Oaks Dog Park is an off-leash dog park, but for special events such as Howl-O-Ween, leashes are required.

Dogs may be off-leash in the designated area to perform in the best trick contest and must be back on a leash immediately following their trick.

9th Annual Coppers and Choppers Event in Camarillo on Saturday, September 21, 2024

The Ventura County Sheriff's Foundation presents "Coppers and Choppers" free family event on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11am to 2pm at the Ventura County Sheriff's Dept Air Unit at the Camarillo Airport, 375 Durley Ave, Ste A, Camarillo. Event features deputies, K-9 units, mounted patrol, search and rescue, marine operations, bomb/arson unit, SWAT and up close viewing of squad cars and helicopters. Trail or Treat Event at Camarillo Grove Park on Saturday, October 19, 2024

Pleasant Valley Recreation & Park District presents “Trail or Treat” at the Camarillo Grove Park Nature Center, 6968 E. Camarillo Springs Road on Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10am to 1pm. Trick or treat along the Camarillo Grove Trail. “Treats” will be nature and Halloween-related - no food items will be given. 43rd Annual Wings Over Camarillo Airshow on August 17-18, 2024

The Camarillo Wings Association will host the 2024 Wings Over Camarillo Air Show with support from volunteers from the Southern California Wing of the Commemorative Air Force, EAA Chapter 723 and the Ventura County 99s.

The event will take place August 17 and 18, 2024 at the Camarillo Airport. Gates open at 9am and close at 8pm Saturday and 6pm Sunday. Aerial performances run from noon to approximately 4pm.

The air show includes aerobatic performances from classic warbirds from the CAF, military aircraft, experimental aircraft, and more. On the ground will be a classic car show, aircraft display models, food vendors, craft beer, STEM Pavilion, robotics exhibition, and more.

This 43rd-anniversary event will feature a unique tribute to our military veterans that includes a recreation of wartime air combat with stunning pyrotechnics of fire and controlled explosions.  Military aircraft, past and present, will be on display for an up-close and personal one-of-a-kind experience.  This year, visitors can enjoy a Flight Line Preview from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the pilots and crew will be on hand to answer any questions and talk about the unique history of the aircraft.

General admission purchased in advance is $30 per day for adults, $20 for active military with ID and $10 for youth 6 to 16 (plus service fees). Under 6 free. Buy tickets in advance to save. Credit cards only accepted at the gate.
