The Yard Bar & Grill opened in late January at 328 E. Main Street in the heart of Downtown Ventura. Yard Bar & Grill is the latest venture of the Cronies Sports Grill team, bringing gourmet burgers, sandwiches, salads, wings and more. Learn more at yardbarandgrill.com. This was previously Stout Burgers, which closed in January 2024.
Tiki Taco, which opened at the Best Buy Plaza in Thousand Oaks on April 14, 2023, didn't quite make it to two years. However, the owners are rebranding at Breakers Sports Bar & Grill, to open in March.
Cork & Batter Roadhouse recently opened at 1747 Simi Town Center Way in Simi Valley, just east of the Town Center. Cork & Batter serves Texas-style BBQ, with items such as slow-smoked brisket, St. Louis ribs, Philly Cheesesteak Brisket Sliders and more. Shah's Halal Food is coming soon to Oakbrook Plaza at 2024 E. Avenida De Los Arboles in Thousand Oaks, Suite D, two doors from Fusion Grill, in the former Habanero Mexican Grill. Shah's offers Middle Eastern favorites like gyros, kafta, kabobs, and much more. Learn more at www.shahshalalfood.com

Makenna Koffee Company is opening a location at the Camarillo Premium Outlets, next to Ubatuba Acai in The Promenade section of the outlets. This is in addition to the other "coming soon" location in Westlake Village in the North Ranch Shopping Center at 3825 E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard in the former Veggie Grill. Azuki Tea is coming soon to the Agoura Meadows shopping center (Vons, CVS, Italia Deli) in Agoura Hills, next to the Puffy Smoke Shop. The other Azuki Boba & Tea opened at the North Ranch Mall (Trader Joe's/Ralph's) in September 2021. Azuki means "red bean" in Japanese.
The former La Paz Mexican Restaurant at 4505 Las Virgenes Road in Calabasas is undergoing remodeling and will be reopening in a few months as Hacienda Tapatio Mexican Restaurant and Bar. There’s a sign on one door that indicates a connection with Taqueria El Tapatio #1 (www.eltapatio-1.com) while the other sign indicates you can learn about the grand opening and other events by emailing them at haciendatapatio@gmail.com.

Nothing Bundt Cakes is opening a new location soon at 2390 Las Posas Road in the Camarillo Village Square. Other local area locations in Thousand Oaks and Ventura. The name Bundt was originally trademarked by cookware manufacturer Nordic Ware in the 1950s. The Bundt cake became really popular when a Bundt cake called the "Tunnel of Fudge" took 2nd place at the 1966 Pilllsbury Bake-Off.
