Decker Kitchen in Thousand Oaks Announces It Is Closing on December 31st

In a note on its Instagram page, Decker Kitchen announced it is closing its doors at its current location at 3732 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks (Paseo Market Place) after New Year’s Eve service this Sunday. They indicated having a tough time with technical issues in the new location (they relocated here in February 2022). However, they did provide a glimmer of hope “We would say goodbye, but it’s more than likely you will all hear from us again.”

Decker’s original location was at the County Line Shopping Center in Westlake Village, which has been vacant for nearly two years but recently we learned that Lava Kitchen Mediterranean Restaurant is coming soon.

Presto Pasta Newbury Park Has Closed Its Doors After 15 Years Serving the Community

Today on the Presto Pasta Facebook Page:

Presto family and friends: It was a difficult decision, but yesterday, Sunday, October 1st, was the final day of service at our Newbury Park restaurant. The last three-and-a-half years have been very challenging for restaurants, and local, family-owned institutions like Presto Pasta face even steeper odds.

Nick Miana, owner of the Newbury Park location, and Jeff and Ken Schuberg, Presto Pasta's founders, are extraordinarily grateful for an amazing 15 years serving our neighbors in the Conejo Valley. We've had the privilege of creating countless meals for your families, catering for many of our wonderful local businesses, and hosting hundreds of fundraisers for our community's sports teams, schools, and nonprofits. And finally, there are no words to adequately thank the past and present members of our Newbury Park team for their talent and efforts over the years.”

The good news is that they are still open in Camarillo, Simi Valley, Ventura and 3 other locations outside of Ventura County. www.prestopasta.com

Amores Tequila Grill & Bar in Agoura Hills Appears to be Closed

Last week, CVG follower Shaun mentioned Amores Tequila Grill & Bar at 30315 Canwood Street in Agoura Hills had closed its doors. It appears he is correct, as their website is no longer functioning, no one answers the phone and no one was there when we visited during normal hours. Amores opened in the Spring of 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic.

This spot in the Plaza Reyes Adobe has a long history of tenants over the last 40 years, including Brendan’s Irish Pub from 2012 to 2019, before that Pikey’s Pub, briefly in 2009 the Rockin’ Steak House, Agoura Bistro & Wine Bar and for the longest time frame, 1983 to 2006, Milano II West.

What’s next? We shall see.
