Vegan Thyme, the popular vegan/vegetarian eatery in the Park Plaza Shopping Center at 2205 Michael Drive in Newbury Park that opened in March 2019, will be moving to a larger location in the center - the former Roma Deli, sometime in 2023. Congratulations to Vegan Thyme for their continued success!
Mirchi Indian Cuisine "comming" soon according to this sign at the Smart & Final Extra Plaza in Newbury Park. It will be located in the former Radio Shack. Looking forward to an electrifying meal there.
UPDATE 6/8/24: Buster’s OG announced on its Instagram page that they are now open in “soft opening” mode.
Got the heads up from Brianna H via the CVG Facebook Page that Buster's OG BBQ & Grill is coming soon to the former Grabbagreen location in the Skyline Plaza in Thousand Oaks. Buster's opened its Ventura location last year. www.bustersogbbq.com

On Tuesday, the owner of 101 BBQ Hut announced via Facebook that he will be opening a new location at The Shoppes at Westlake Village in the former home of Hook Burger. Stay tuned.
101 BBQ Hut was previously located at 1610 E. T.O. Blvd from January 2020 to July 2021 in the space now occupied by The Fisherman’s Wife.
We have a bit of “musical restaurants” going on it seems but hey, it’s all good.
Construction of the Conejo Recreation and Park District’s Paige Lane Neighborhood park is now complete and open to the public.
The 14 acre neighborhood park development at 901 Paige Lane in Thousand Oaks includes multi-use walkways and looped equestrian trail, Chumash themed playground, fitness equipment nodes, sand volleyball and basketball courts, three shaded picnic areas, single restroom, small parking lot and native and drought tolerant landscaping.
Due to the current drought and the Conejo Recreation and Park District’s continued efforts towards water conservation, the planned three acres of turf areas will not be installed at this time. Turf areas will be prepared with mulch cover and underground irrigation infrastructure for possible future implementation of turf at a later date, depending on forecasted drought conditions. The project was made possible through a partnership between the Conejo Recreation and Park District and the City of Thousand Oaks. The City provided $1,500,000 grant towards the approximate $4,250,000 project. The Conejo Recreation and Park District provided the balance of the funding and project management.
The park was acquired in 1972 by the Conejo Recreation and Park District and is one of few remaining undeveloped parcels of the District-wide Conejo Creek Park Complex.
To celebrate the opening of the new park facility, the District will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony with crafts, games and light refreshments from 10:00am to 12:30pm on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Thank you Michael M for sending over this photo of Jügo Organic Eatery & Wellness Bar, which will be opening in the spring of 2023 at the Oakbrook Plaza in Thousand Oaks, 1772 Avenida De Los Arboles, Suite I (between Subway and Supercuts). The photo shows what appears to be an acai bowl and organic juices. No other info at this point, so stay tuned.
Blaze Pizza, which operated in the Northgate Plaza in Thousand Oaks since July 2017, has closed its doors. Located next to Little Calf Creamery and The Habit, both of which are open for business.
The Grill on the Alley at The Promenade at Westlake in Thousand Oaks has confirmed that it will be closing its doors at close of business on Saturday, October 29th. The Grill has served the Conejo Valley since 2008.
