Celebrate with Santa Claus on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Simi Valley Town Center. There will also be 17 tons of fresh snow at center court for the party, which starts at 8am. Snow shows at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30pm. Also enjoy holiday music.
The 7th Annual Sombrero Half Marathon, 5K and 10K is planned for Sunday, February 18, 2024 on the Arroyo Simi bike path. Mostly flat course and post race tacos for all runners. Half Marathon starts at 7am and 5K/10K soon thereafter.

Sunset Dinner and Dance- A Tribute To Journey--August 18, 2023- 5:30 PM- 10:00 PM
The final band in the Reagan Library’s Sunset Dinner series is DSB, a tribute to Journey. DSB has been highly revered as one of the best Journey tribute bands. They have captured the signature sound of renowned vocalist Steve Perry and Journey. The band is composed of world-class musicians and will give a nostalgic concert. The evening will begin with a three-course meal created by the library’s Presidential Chef. It is a perfect evening of rock 'n' roll entertainment that will keep you on the dance floor all night long.
Tour the Ronald Reagan Presidential Museum and Air Force One from 5:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. This all-inclusive offer is only $83.95 per person (includes tax and gratuity). Strathearn Historical Park will transform itself into a small town in rural America in the 1860’s for the 11th Annual Civil War Days Encampment on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 10am-4pm and Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 10am-3pm.
Step back to another place and time, when President Lincoln could take a break from his Washington duties to give a speech on the steps of our Strathearn House. Here, costumed civilians, as well as soldiers from the north and south stand ready in their camps, eager to tell their stories to the passing visitors. Sergeants drill groups of local boys and girls curious to experience military life. Skirmishes, as well as artillery, infantry and cavalry demonstrations will take place throughout the weekend.

The Simi Fall Festival and Carnival is back at the Simi Valley Town Center on October 7 (5-11PM), October 8 (noon to 11PM) and October 9 (noon to 9pm). Free admission, free parking and free live music. There will also be a carnival, shopping, food and family entertainment.

To honor the men and women who serve in the United States Armed Forces, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library will be hosting its annual Veterans Day Event on Friday, November 11. The day’s activities include live musical entertainment, a civil war encampment, a military vehicle display and a program honoring all branches of our military.
Live musical entertainment begins at 10:30 a.m. The program, which begins at 11:00 a.m., includes an honor guard, live music, and remarks by keynote speaker and US Army Veteran Brad Taylor. Brad Taylor served for 21 years, retiring as a Special Forces Lieutenant Colonel, with his final assignment as the Assistant Professor of Military Science at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. He is now a New York Times bestselling author of his Pike Logan series; with more than 15 installments and more than 3 million copies sold.
Following the program, Mr. Taylor will be signing copies of his latest book, End of Days.
Outdoor events and the program are free to attend; however, reservations are recommended to attend the program. Fairy Tales in the Park is a series of free, live theatrical performances geared towards children ages 3 to 10. John and Roxanne Diesel co-founded Gypsies in a Trunk, an all-volunteer troupe of actors performing free fairy tales for the young and young at heart. The troupe’s love of children’s theatre has led them to perform every May through September since 1995 throughout Ventura County.
The troupe's goal is to create an environment where families can introduce live theatre to their children in a casual setting at the right price – free! All Fairy Tales in the Park performances are held outdoors in a variety of venues and is always free of charge, though the players pass the hat to help cover costuming and travel costs, donations are always voluntary.
Most venues do not have shade, so sunscreen and hats are appropriate. Bring water, juice, snacks, picnics. Blankets and low-slung chairs are recommended. Please leave doggies at home (not that they don't love them). The shows are designed to run approximately 45 minutes, which coincides with the attention span of the target age group, 3-10 year olds.
