150th Anniversary Ventura County Fair to Take Place July 31 to August 11, 2024

The 2024 Ventura County Fair will take place July 31 to August 11 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Boulevard in Ventura.

The fair features arts, crafts, food, exhibits, displays, demonstrations, farm animals, petting zoo, carnival rides, games and entertainment. More information at www.VenturaCountyFair.org.

General Admission Prices:  

Pre-sale: Ages 13-64 $15/day, Ages 6-12 $10/day, Ages 65+ $10/day, Ages 0-5 free

Regular admission (July 31-August 11): Ages 13-64 $20, Ages 6-12 $15, Ages 65+ $15, Ages 0-5 free

Parking at the Ventura County Fair is $20.00 per car. Parking at the Fairgrounds is limited. Free shuttle buses are provided from the Ventura Government Center, Pacific View Mall, Ventura Community Park, Ventura High School and San Buenaventura State Beach (with parking fee). The fair opens at noon on weekends and opening day and at 1pm on other weekdays. Midway closes no later than midnight and not before 11pm.

Special Promotion Days:

  • Wednesday, July 31 – $3 before 3pm

  • Friday, August 2 – Youth Day - Visitors ages 12 and under will be admitted free all day with paid adult admission.

  • Monday, August 5 – 805 Day $5 admission before 5pm.

  • Tuesday, August 6 – Seniors & Persons with Disabilities Day - All Ventura County Fair visitors ages 65 or better and disabled persons and one companion will be admitted free all day. Gates will open early at 11am this day only.

  • Thursday, August 8 – Military Appreciation Day and First Responder Day - All military with current, valid ID and first responders admitted free.

  • Friday, August 9 - Food Share Day

Carnival Wristband Days will be August 1, 6 and 7. $45 for ride wristbands that can be used until 7pm these days.

Regular fair hours are 12pm to 12am daily

Flying U Rodeo is on 8/9 at 7pm, 8/10 at 2pm and 7pm and 8/11 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets can be purchased online or in person for $8 to $10 per ticket.

Wild and Scenic Film Festival in Ventura on August 24, 2024

Ventura Land Trust’s annual benefit, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, returns on Saturday, August 24th to the expansive lawn of the Ventura County Credit Union headquarters, 2575 Vista Del Mar Drive, Ventura. The film festival features nearly two hours of environmental and activism films along with live music, food trucks, drinks, raffle, auction, kids’ activities and more.

A family-friendly event, participants are encouraged to spread out on chairs and blankets. Doors open at 5 pm, and films begin just before 8 pm as the sky darkens.

21st Annual Ventura Nationals at Ventura County Fairgrounds on Saturday, August 31, 2024

The 21st Annual Ventura Nationals Car and Motorcycle Show is planned for Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds. Fun all around with car/motorcycle show, live music, vendors, food and more.

2024 Surf Rodeo Music & Surf Festival in Ventura on July 5-6

Surf Rodeo will take place on Friday/Saturday, July 5-6, 2024 at Surfer’s Point in Ventura.

Featuring over 30 bands, a surf rodeo competition, a bikini cowgirl and bikini cowboy contest, cornhole tournament, skateboard demos, over 70 vendors, and more. Hours are 2-10pm on Friday and noon to 10pm on Saturday.

2024 Seaside Movie Nights at Ventura Harbor Village on July 20, August 17 and September 21

Save the date for Summer Seaside Movie Nights, July 20, August 17 and September 21, 2024 starting after sunset at Ventura Harbor Village Main Lawn, 1583 Spinnaker Drive in Ventura. Plan to arrive early to enjoy live DJ or bands, and grab dinner and dessert at one of the Village's seaside restaurants. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring blankets and low chairs.

2024 Ventura Rotary Fireworks Show and Family Picnic on Thursday, July 4th

Ventura Rotary is hosting the annual Fireworks Show and Family Picnic on Thursday, July 4th at the beautiful Ventura College athletic fields.

Gates open at 5 pm with a spectacular fireworks show at 9 pm. The evening also includes live music, food trucks, and a Kids Fun Zone with bounce houses, inflatable attractions and organized games.

Tickets $10 for ages 13+, $5 ages 4-12. Tickets can also be purchased in advance online or at the gate. $30 for a family of four (pre-sale only).

2024 Ventura 4th of July Street Fair and Children's Pushem-Pullem Parade

The City of Ventura 4th of July Street Fair will be back on Thursday, July 4, 2024 along Main Street from Fir Street to Ventura Avenue as well as side streets Chestnut, Oak and California.

The street fair features over 100 arts and crafts booths, live entertainment, food trucks, a car exhibit, and family-friendly activities. Open 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event is free to the public.

The 47th Annual Children’s Pushem - Pullem Parade is at 10 a.m.  Assemble at Cemetery Park at Main and Crimea Streets at 9:30 a.m.  The parade proceeds down Main Street to Fir Street at 10 a.m.
